Nominations for the Best Paper Award of HEAd’18

We would like to announce the list of papers that have been nominated as candidates for the Best Paper Award. The nominated papers were selected based on their review scores.

The final decision will be made during the conference by the best paper committee based on the presentation and Q&A. The award will be announced and conferred during the closing session (Friday, 22nd June 2018 at 13:15).

HEAd Conference indexed in Web of Science

We are pleased to announce that the HEAd conference has been indexed in the Thomson-Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Web of Science Core Collection (former ISI Proceedings). This index includes papers published by the most relevant conferences, seminars and other professional and scientific meetings worldwide. We have been able to achieve this position thanks to the high quality works of our participants and the hard effort of the organizing and scientific committee. Thanks to all, these are great news!

Instructions for connecting to UPV Wifi

Dear delegates, below you can find a summary of the instructions for successfully connecting to UPV Wifi with your smartphones or laptops.

Smartphones

1 – Connect to UPV-INFO network and download certificate of authentication from: https://www.upv.es/id/241
2 – Name the certificate ‘radius upv’ . Select Wi – Fi from Credential use
3 – Add the UPVNET network (Press on + icon, or “Add network”)
4 – Enter UPVNET in the Network SSID. Select “802.1x EAP” under “Security”
5 – Enter your user name and password
6 – Check ‘Show advanced options‘ and set the following options:
> EAP Method: PEAP                  > Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
> CA Certificate: radius upv    > User/Client Certif. and Anonymous Identity: Blank
7 – Click Save and then, click Connect to complete the set-up

Laptops

1 – Network name: UPVNET
2 – Security type: WPA2-Enterprise Encryption type: AES
Network authentication method: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)
3 – Click the Settings button. The Protected EAP Properties screen will open:
> Check Validate server certificate
> Check Connect to these servers and introduce ‘radius.upv.es’
> Check Thawte Premium Server CA and thawte Primary Root CA
4 – Click the Configure button. Uncheck the box beside Automatically use my
Windows Logon name and password.
5 – Click the Advanced settings button. On the 802.1X settings tab check
the box beside Specify authentication mode and select User authentication.
6 – Click the Save credentials button. In the User name and password box
enter your credentials
7 – Your wireless connection is now ready to use

Agreement between JFLET and HEAd’17

We are glad to announce that HEAd’17 and the Journal of Foreign Language Education and Technology (JFLET) have reached a partnership agreement.

JFLET is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. It publishes two regular issues each year (February and August), with submissions being published online as soon as they successfully complete the reviewing and editorial processes. The journal has a broad scope incorporating the following sections: Research Articles, Review Articles, Book Reviews and Educational Materials. Topics of interest in these sections include, but are not limited to, research into: Education, Foreign/Second Language Learning/Teaching, ICTs and Educational Material Development.

Authors of accepted papers related to these topics are invited to submit an extended version of the works presented in HEAd’17 to JFLET, for evaluation and possible publication (free of charge). JFLET is indexed by numerous organizations, including for instance Google Scholar, Advanced Science Index, Electronic Journals Library, DOAJ and J-Gate. You can find complete information about JFLET in its website. The submission of papers to JFLET must be performed using the online system which you can find in this link. You must indicate the ID of the paper accepted in HEAd’17.

Agreement between EDUCADE and HEAd’17

We are glad to announce that HEAd’17 and the Spanish Journal of Accounting, Finance and Management Education (EDUCADE) have reached a partnership agreement.

Authors of accepted papers related to Finance, Accounting, Economics and Management are invited to submit an extended version of the works presented in HEAd’17 to EDUCADE, for evaluation and possible publication in a fast track. Since 2015, EDUCADE is present in the Emerging Sources Citation Index from Thomson Reuters. You can find complete information about EDUCADE in its website. The submission of papers to EDUCADE must be performed following the instructions in this link. You must indicate the ID of the paper accepted in HEAd’17.
